In the two numerical sequences below,one number that appears in the top sequence should appear in the bottom sequence and vice versa. Which two numbers should be changed round?

2, 5, 11, 15, 47
3, 7, 23, 31, 63

Answer

2,   5,   11,      15,      47
  +3   +6    +4     +32         3 , 6 , 4 , 32 ...... No pattern there it seems.

Let's try the second series.
3,    7,      23,    31,      63
    +4     +16     +8     +32    4,16 , 8, 32 ,........ If we change the order of 16 and 8 here it would be
4,8 ,16, 32 ,........

So the series would be  3,    7,   15,   31,  63, .........

 

If we replace 15 by 23 in the first series,

2,     5,     11,       23,      47
    +3   +6      +12       +24           There is also a pattern now.
