There was a mistake in the question. 😟 But some one still managed to find a pattern brilliantly. 😊
(5 * 5) + (6 * 6) - (5 * 6) + (( 6 - 5 ) - 1) = 31
(9 * 9) + (13 * 13) - (5 * 13) + (( 13 - 9 ) -1) = 188
(14 * 14) + (16 * 16) - (5 * 16) + ((16 - 14 ) - 1) = 373
So the next number is 373
